Hohenfried

Hohenfried is a non-profit organization in Berchtesgadener Land, Germany. In their woodworking shop, skilled craftspeople lovingly recreate Hugo Kükelhaus' wooden rattles. Timeless designs from 1936, all made from local wood.

Hugo Kükelhaus designed these play objects to naturally stimulate children's senses. Simple shapes, pure materials, and a soft finish invite touch, listening, and discovery. Each piece conveys both the warmth of the wood and the care of its makers.
