Wild Animals

Wild Animals is the publishing house of artist Rop van Mierlo. Since 2019, they have been creating prints, products, and objects based on his original designs, always recognizable by their free, playful, yet refined character.

Rop graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2008. His distinctive style originated in primary school, where he learned to paint using the wet-on-wet technique. Years later, he returned to this way of working, as a quest for less control and more spontaneity. This led to his now-iconic "wild animals"—animals that aren't captured in rigid lines, but retain their lively and unpredictable nature.
